Below are some kind words from our many guests at Mounon du Nord:

Myself and my extended family had the most wonderful time at Le Faucon in May. Our party included a toddler and a 4 year old and their grandparents and Le Faucon catered for all of our needs. Jo and Jean-Marc assisted with booking restaurants for us and advised on places to go. The house and grounds are spacious and safe enough to allow children to run around and enjoy. Jo and Jean Marc left toys out in both the garden and the pool for our children and each morning our kids couldn't wait to see what had been left out for them. They were also allowed to choose from Jo & Jean-Marc's DVD library whenever required.

The house is a great base from which to explore the surrounding area and we also spent many days just enjoying the garden, pool and having barbeques.

My son was devastated to leave this beautiful house and has frequently asked if we can move there. So, right now, at both my children's insistence we are booking a return trip and are very much looking forward to it.

If I have any criticism it's that the photos on the website cannot do this house and grounds justice.

We had a very pleasant time here. Mounon du Nord is a beautiful and very quiet place, the weather was fantastic allowing us to have outdoor life the whole week. Nice places to visit, Fources, Nerac  (chateau & long walk along the river) La Romieu  (look for stone cats everywhere). And a day trip to the Pyrenees was very memorable. .

Being a manager of a 4*hotel in Cardiff, Wales; I have very high standards, all of which were met and exceeded during our stay. The gites are extremely  well equipped and we wanted for nothing.  The area is beautiful with plenty to do come rain or shine. Enjoyed the wine tasting and love the Armagnac from Cassaigne. Condom Cathedral is well worth a visit. Big Thanks to Jo and Jean Marc and family for a lovely stay, welcome and hospitality. We will be booking our flights for a return visit very soon.

What a lovely cottage, we have all really enjoyed our stay in France what a beautiful place. Wished we had stayed for 2 weeks to see more.  We really had a relaxed stay & felt very comfortable. Thank you Jo and Jean-Marc for all of your help and advice on where to go and what to do.  We felt very welcomed.  We will be back again soon.

.. We had a great week in both gites & have been made very welcome by Jo, Jean Marc, Ollie and Evie. Very helpful advice from Jo & Jean Marc – priceless when it comes to booking activities, restaurants etc. Thouroughly enjoyed our canoeing trip & managed to see some local wildlife despite the noise made by the kids. Worth a trip to see the ‘river rats’. Very pretty surrounding towns & villages to visit.  Enjoyed the lake at Castera Verduzan and the kids loved the waterslides there...

What a a lovely start to our Europe/France experience! We had a fabulous experience, immediately felt at home with Jean Marc & Jo’s hospitality.....We relaxed, drove through beautiful villages, ate long lunches, drank far too much wine and walked through the beautiful local countryside.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

What a beautiful and magical place to stay! The second time around was even better. We can highly recommend the menu de jour at Bassoues  - be prepared to have a long lazy lunch lasting at least 2hrs, the food is lovely and the red wine was a great accompaniment. Jo kindly took us to Domaine les Acacias, the local vineyard, which was a great experience.... The Waterpark at Gondrin is also a great place to take the kids, only 4e for adults and 2e for a child. ... The patisserie in nearby Castera Verdeziu is great for buying your croissants in the morning   - and they should definitely be dipped in coffee! All in all, a fabulous place to have a holiday, and much love and thanks to Jo, Jean Marc and family for your kindness and help (and the plums!), we hope to see you again soon!

A comfortable and characterful base for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Gers. We really appreciated the extra touches such as the welcome pack, the advice on itineraries and restaurants, and your organising bookings and local wine tasting.

Best gite we have ever stayed in, clean, tidy and with great facilities and plenty to do. Everything we could have wanted and more, we wished we had booked two weeks, thanks!

We stayed in Alouette for 10 days at the end of April, our third visit to Mounon du Nord. We had a lovely holiday, everything, including the weather, was perfect ! Hot days, cool nights, the wood burning stove was very cosy in the evenings. The gite is very comfortable, well equipped and peaceful. The surrounding countryside of the Gers is as beautiful and unspoilt as ever. We enjoyed some wonderful cycle rides through the countryside, stopping at cafes along the way at Castera Verduzan, Valence sur Baise and St.Puy, and soaking up the quiet, unique atmosphere of the little villages such as Bezolles, Beaucaire, Ayguetine and Rozes. We were pleased to find we could still enjoy a fixed four course lunch including wine and bread for 11 euros! See you again soon!

A delightful place to stay, wonderful views and countryside to explore but plenty to see and do - cheap wine, markets are a must and so is a visit to Agen for a 5 course lunch at the train station as recommended by Rick Stein - be warned it takes over 2 hours! Great shopping.
John & Dulcie, Cardiff

My family (husband, 15 year old daughter and her friend) have just returned from 2 weeks in Le Faucon and all agreed it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The gite was spacious and cool on some very hot days! It contained all that we needed plus lots of unexpected extras. The pool was spotlessly clean and again very welcome on hot days. Lots of pretty villages around and some great wine in the local vineyard.
We would definitely go again!
Rose Bell, Pontypridd

We just spent a wonderful christmas, we even had snow on boxing day and watched deer! We went to the mountains which only took 2 hours and had a great day going up the cable car and sledging in St Lary Soulan, we sampled the many wines on offer, pousse rapiere and foie gras - a magical time! The gite was cosy and well equipped, the best we have stayed in.
