Below are some kind words from our many guests at Mounon du Nord:
We can thoroughly recommend the good life here! No car meant that we made best of use of the bikes - wonderful cycling country - Van Gogh should have come here .. Thanks Jean Marc for looking after us so well. We’ll be encouraging other New Zealanders to come. Jan, New Zealand. September 2009.
What a lovely cottage, we have all really enjoyed our stay in France what a beautiful place. Wished we had stayed for 2 weeks to see more. We really had a relaxed stay & felt very comfortable. Thank you Jo and Jean-Marc for all of your help and advice on where to go and what to do. We felt very welcomed. We will be back again soon. A comfortable and characterful base for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Gers. We really appreciated the extra touches such as the welcome pack, the advice on itineraries and restaurants, and your organising bookings and local wine tasting.
Richard & Sarah, Bucks (Alouette) Best gite we have ever stayed in, clean, tidy and with great facilities and plenty to do. Everything we could have wanted and more, we wished we had booked two weeks, thanks! Sali, Craig, Fiona & Wyndham ( Le Faucon) We stayed in Alouette for 10 days at the end of April, our third visit to Mounon du Nord. We had a lovely holiday, everything, including the weather, was perfect ! Hot days, cool nights, the wood burning stove was very cosy in the evenings. The gite is very comfortable, well equipped and peaceful. The surrounding countryside of the Gers is as beautiful and unspoilt as ever. We enjoyed some wonderful cycle rides through the countryside, stopping at cafes along the way at Castera Verduzan, Valence sur Baise and St.Puy, and soaking up the quiet, unique atmosphere of the little villages such as Bezolles, Beaucaire, Ayguetine and Rozes. We were pleased to find we could still enjoy a fixed four course lunch including wine and bread for 11 euros! See you again soon! Jackie & Ian Wild, Derbyshire A delightful place to stay, wonderful views and countryside to explore but plenty to see and do - cheap wine, markets are a must and so is a visit to Agen for a 5 course lunch at the train station as recommended by Rick Stein - be warned it takes over 2 hours! Great shopping. John & Dulcie, Cardiff My family (husband, 15 year old daughter and her friend) have just returned from 2 weeks in Le Faucon and all agreed it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The gite was spacious and cool on some very hot days! It contained all that we needed plus lots of unexpected extras. The pool was spotlessly clean and again very welcome on hot days. Lots of pretty villages around and some great wine in the local vineyard. We would definitely go again! Rose Bell, Pontypridd We just spent a wonderful christmas, we even had snow on boxing day and watched deer! We went to the mountains which only took 2 hours and had a great day going up the cable car and sledging in St Lary Soulan, we sampled the many wines on offer, pousse rapiere and foie gras - a magical time! The gite was cosy and well equipped, the best we have stayed in. |
